Like all transformations that aren't surgically based...that took F-O-R-E-V-E-R....

You'd think my very first post of this new and REMISSION filled new year (I'm totally working that "if I say it or write it then it's true") would be about my health and the changes that are taking place in it. Ahhh ha ha ha....NO...it's all about how I just spent the better part of 3 hours giving "Life in the Land of L" a little 2011 face lift.

No Botox. No Restalyn. No strange Angelina Jolie man those can't be your real lips lips.

In case it be deemed that 2011 is the year of the new, improved and slightly look based Jessica...let me assure you that I am writing this blog in a most natural state....

I'll be your Tour Guide in the "Land of L"....

If you have come to read this blog because you are a fan or someone who is just trying to make me feel as though I do truly have some humorous writing capabilities by reading my first blog "Southern Fried Life", and then taking a swing on over here to see what my newest blog is about then pat yourself on the back because you probably know me better than some of my own family members (and yes I am including the ones with internet access).

If you've just strolled upon this page and thought "what the hell is the Land of L" and read just cause you had to know, because like me....anything that sounds that intriguing must be well worth your time or better yet your just nosy and figured if this jackleg didn't want you knowing all about her personal biz she would shut her trap and her laptop and leave the world in peace. But I'm hoping you are just the the nice curious reader type and for that I say a HUGE "kudos to you and your curiosity".

For those of you just joining my writing, however you stumbled here, and for those that have been loyal readers of Southern Fried Life since it's debut in Summer 2009 , please rest assured that this new blog will not take the place of Southern Fried Life. "Life In The Land of L" is my way of dealing with being diagnosed with Leukemia.

Just like Southern Fried Life, my post may not always be pretty but it's what is really going on. No sugar coating allowed! Once I was diagnosed on 4/27/10 I made a decision that as soon as I could have my laptop in the hospital with me I'd start another blog. This one would be solely dedicated to what it's like going through treatment with a side of Southern humor for good measure.

As always I look towards the laughter to make me feel better, I hope I spread a little bit of that on to all of my readers.
